Wii Reflection: Eledees AKA Elebits

Hey folks!

In this article I will talk about a game that litterally annoyed me away from it, and I do not understand how I could spend money on it.

Eledees, or Elebits if you're not in Europe.

Let me give you the story summary I read in Wikipedia of Eledees/Elebits, so you can understand how I was fooled into buying it.

You're a young boy who's looking for these creatures of energy. You utilize the Wii Remote to pick up and move stuff. Searching for these Eledees/Elebits, by opening drawers, moving chairs. Here's where I thought: "Cool!. I would love it!". But, alas. That is where I would go completely wrong. But, in my defense, the wiki article alone wasn't in on fooling me to buy it. IGN gave it a 8.3.

Right now, I just sit and shake my head. 8.3!!!

So, let me tell you that this article is probably going to be very short. Just because I could stand playing this game for fifteen minutes, before I shut it off. Fine, I'll admit that the premise of a Hide and Seek game sounded tempting, and that it sounded really innovative. But that's all you do.. You pick up things, find Eledees/Elebits and shake them for power. You open drawers, find Eledees/Elebits and shake them for power. It was NOT fun! I own the game, and I've played approximately fifteen minutes. I haven't touched it ever since, and I don't think I ever will.

If you really want to look silly while shaking the Wii Remote, I would recommend Wario: Shake Dimension. And if you and a friend want to look silly shaking Wii Remotes, I would recommend Mario & Sonic at the Summer Olympics.

Oh! A side note. According to the Wikipedia page about this one. The game is called Eledees in Europe, just because apparently, it sounds just like LED's. I am going into rage mode right now.

Laters!!

What do you think? Should I pick it up, brush the dust off the game and give it a second chance? And do you have a game that you only played for fifteen minutes and never touched again? Leave a comment!

  1. Pick it up and play it! It's always better to finish the game and regret playing it, than let it collect dust.

I have lots of games that got that little attention too.
